Teen Charged as Adult After Shooting
Meadville – A 15-year-old Meadville teenager will be charged as an adult after he allegedly shot a gun at three other teenagers. On Friday night, the Meadville Police Department received multiple calls about gunshots being fired on Chestnut Street near Rose and Waid Funeral Home, at about 10 p.m. Three teenagers arrived at the department to report that they had been shot at soon after. Investigators eventually learned the teens were there to get into a fight and that 15-year-old Liam Rodriguez was waiting at the fight location. Rodriguez allegedly ambushed the other teens with a firearm, firing nine shots at them before they drove away.

Forest Cleanup Day, April 11th
Centerville – The annual cleanup day for the George M Hummer Community Forest is this Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Join Crawford County Planning (CCP) this Saturday to clean up trash in and around the 436-acre County-owned forest near Centerville.  The County will provide work gloves, bags, high visibility clothing, and insect repellent, but please provide your own water and snacks. No registration is required; just please come to the parking area at 15284 Greytown Road in Centerville.

PA Doctor Convicted in Hawaii
Honolulu – Gerhardt Konig, a former Doctor for UPMC, was convicted on charges of attempted manslaughter by a jury in Hawaii. The 47-year-old anesthesiologist made national news last year when he was charged with attempted homicide after attacking his then-wife as they hiked on the Pali Puka Trail on the Hawaiian island of Oahu during a birthday vacation last March. Konig claims he was acting in self-defense, and jurors did not find him guilty of the more severe charge of attempted murder.
