Woman Injured in House Fire
Erie – An Erie woman was hospitalized after a house fire on Monday. All firefighters would identify her as is a woman in her late forties; she was rescued from her burning house on East Seventh Street early Monday morning after becoming trapped in a second-story bedroom. She was flown to UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, and more information on the woman was not available. The fire caused severe damage to the front of the home, and its cause is under investigation.

Care Worker Charged for Using Drugs at Work
Franklin – A direct care worker from Venango County was charged with at least eight crimes earlier this month after allegedly using drugs while caring for three dependent persons. Ryan Green of Franklin was charged with multiple counts each of neglect of a care-dependent person and reckless endangerment, as well as possession of drugs and paraphernalia, after his arrest on August 11th. Green was employed through an agency and responsible for cooking meals and providing medication for three individuals; he was behaving erratically and admitted to State Troopers that he had taken unprescribed suboxone before coming to work.
