Man Charged with Homicide in Daughter’s Death
Erie – On Friday, an Erie man was arraigned on homicide charges for the death of his two-year-old daughter at the end of May. Dieudonne Bwisha is being held in Erie County Jail without bail, more than two months after the death of his toddler; he was initially held on charges of aggravated assault and child endangerment, but released after charges were waived in early June. After the Investigators built a solid case for homicide, Bwisha was arrested on new charges. County Coroner Lyell Cook ruled that significant blunt force trauma caused the child’s death. Football Team Injured in Crash
Aliquippa – In state news, more than 20 students were injured when a school bus carrying a Jr. High football team crashed. The Aliquippa “Quips” Jr. High Football team was on its way to a game in Beaver County when the bus crashed. 21 players and the driver of the bus were hospitalized after the accident. The student athletes were all taken to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, but it’s unknown where the driver went, and the extent of anyone’s injuries is unclear.
