National Night Out
The first Tuesday in August is always National Night Out. National Night Out aims to strengthen the bonds between neighbors and also communities and their police by promoting togetherness. Many towns across NWPA are all set for their own National Night Out celebrations tonight; here’s what a few of them look like.
In Meadville, there will be carnival games at Diamond Park, food trucks, and the Tree Family Party Piggies. You can tour some of the city’s emergency vehicles, shoot hoops, and check out Meadville Public Library’s Book Bike. In Oil City, there’s a full-on block party at the South Side Community Hub on 106 Walnut Street. The party includes live music, food, drinks, and First Responder Meet and Greets.
In Ashtabula, everyone is meeting at Giddings Park for food trucks, live music, and face painting. Most National Night Out Events start at 5 p.m. Check your hometown’s social media or websites to find out what they’re doing for National Night Out.
