Venango County Fair Continues
Franklin – The seeds of 1776 yield the blooms of 2026 at the Venango County Fair. All the way through Saturday, August 8th, the fair will bring food, fun, family, and friends all together in one place for eight days of merrymaking. This year’s admission price is $8 and an additional $5 for grandstand events.
Today is Racing Day with hours of racecars and dirtbikes starting at 1 p.m., and KOI Drag Racing at 7 p.m. Friday features the 4-H Supreme Senior Livestock Competition and the Jr. Cheese and Yield auction. Saturday is the final day, Autism Tough Day with tractor pulls, Turkey Calling Contest, and the Demolition Derby.
This year’s daily features include chainsaw demonstrations, Foam-N-Fun, “Wild World of Animals”, fishing tank, and Whispery Pines Percherons. And of course, food, games, and more at the Venango County Fair, three miles from Franklin on Mercer Road. Visit VenangoFair.com. 

Wings Over Venango
Franklin – Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wings Over Venango air and car show at the Venango Regional Airport. Thanks to a herculean last-minute community effort, the yearly fundraiser for Vintage Wings will happen on the second weekend of August just like in previous years. Don’t miss planes, cars, and motorcycles all on the tarmac, food and drinks, vendors, and the Vintage Wings Museum. Great food and good times tomorrow at the Venango Regional Airport in Franklin.

Oil Fest and Drake Well Day
Titusville – On August 27th, 1859, for the first time in the history of the world, humankind successfully drilled into an oil reservoir and tapped into a substance that would reshape global industry.Celebrate the first Chapter of Oil History in the very place it happened, Titusville, Pennsylvania, this weekend. Friday and Saturday, it’s Oil Fest, in and around Schiede Park. Sunday, it’s Drake Well Day at the Drake Well Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with historical reenactments and more.
