Three Teens Injured in Crash
Titusville – Crash scene investigators revealed the details about a fiery Venango County crash that injured several teenagers in late November. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, three teenagers suffered severe injuries when a 17-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle on Pioneer Road in Sandycreek Township. The car pinballed off of several roadside features before hitting a tree head-on and catching fire. Two 15-year-old boys were injured and taken to UPMC Northwest by ambulance while a girl was airlifted to Children’s Hospital by STAT Medevac. 

MMC Negotiates Sharon Hospital Purchase
Sharon – Mediation for Meadville Medical Center to purchase the land beneath Sharon Regional Hospital began yesterday. MMC has been in negotiations for the purchase of Sharon Regional Hospital from Steward Health, but another company, Medical Properties Trust, owns the land the hospital sits upon. Stewart Health is in bankruptcy and the bill for operation of Sharon Hospital is currently being carried by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Sharon Regional Hospital could be closed if MMC and MPT cannot agree on a sale price by the end of the year.
