Office Manager and Family Steal Hundreds of Thousands from Doctor
Hermitage – A family in Mercer County has been accused of stealing more than $400,000 from a doctor’s office in Hermitage. According to authorities, Diane Hardin, former office manager for a medical clinic, wrote and cashed out checks for her husband, Henry, and her son, David, from the office of her employer. Hardin also allegedly wrote checks to herself for cash advances and vacation time buyouts, things never authorized by the medical doctor who owned the business. The hundreds of thousands of dollars allegedly stolen this way were only discovered when a new office manager took over in July.
