Crash Hospitalizes Seven
Edinboro – Seven people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision in Erie County on Monday Afternoon. A three-vehicle crash near Edinboro on Route 6N sent seven separate individuals to UPMC Hamot for evaluations and the treatment of injuries, according to the Edinboro Volunteer Fire Department. Details are currently sketchy, but first responders say that all three vehicles suffered heavy damage and that they had to cut more than one door off the vehicles to extract the patients.

Meadville Church Relegated by Erie Dioces
Meadville – Bishop Persico of the Erie County Diocese is relegating a 19th-century Meadville church. Last week, the Bishop approved the relegation of St. Brigid Church at the corner of Arch and Liberty Streets in Meadville; the decree removing the church’s blessing comes into effect on February 2nd next year.  The primary reason for the relegation is financial; the 140-year-old structure has become expensive to maintain and also requires almost $2 million in repairs. Once the blessing expires, St. Brigid has been approved for profane but not sordid use and can be sold for the public benefit.
