Lake Effect Snow Continues All Year
NWPA – A Lake Effect Snow warning that was anticipated to end today has now been extended until New Year’s Day; pretty much between 3 and 5 inches of snow is anticipated in Crawford, Erie, and Warren Counties, and in Ashtabula County Ohio, for the rest of the year. At press time, there are still a few road closures due to flooding, interstate highway speed restrictions, and many roads are still slick with snow. In short, travel will be difficult today, so plan your route accordingly and give yourself extra time to get to your destinations for work or pleasure. Trooper hit by Car
Butler – In state news, a Pennsylvania State Police Trooper was struck by a vehicle while responding to an accident on the highway. At press time, PSP has not revealed the name of the Trooper who was struck by a vehicle on I-79 in Butler County Monday Afternoon. They have reported that he was in stable condition after being transported to a hospital. The driver who hit the officer remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigators. The officer is a member of Troop D and was stationed at the Butler barracks.
