Man Who Attacked Policeman is Sex Offender
Linesville – A man who allegedly stabbed a police officer in Linesville had only been released from jail on bail for Megan’s Law violations days before. On Friday, we reported that Adam Mitchell of Jamestown was charged with attempted homicide and other crimes after he was arrested for an altercation at a laundromat in Linesville. During the arrest, Mitchel allegedly attacked a Conneaut Lake Regional Police Officer, Landon Caldwell, and stabbed him in the face and hands. Mitchell had only been released from Crawford County Jail four days before the attack after making bail for failure to update his address with authorities per Megan’s Law; his attempted murder charges make him ineligible for bail this time. Officer Caldwell was in serious condition when he was transported to Meadville Medical Center and then UPMC Hamot.

Police Investigate Charges Against Everyone in Crash
Oil City – Two senior citizens were injured in a Venango County collision on December 1st. The Pennsylvania State Police report that an 83-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man were both transported to UPMC Northwest after a pickup truck hit an SUV in Cranberry Township between Oil City and Seneca at the intersection of State Route 257 and Innis Street Extension. The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating charges against both drivers. The woman is charged for failing to check for incoming traffic while making a left turn, and a blood test result may lead to charges of DUI for the man.
