Angry Parent Causes School Lockdown
Sugarcreek – The Sugarcreek Police Department released the details about what caused a lockdown at Valley Grove Elementary School last month. On January 29th, an angry father became aggressive with school staff while attempting to pick up his daughter. Police arrived at about 3:00 p.m. to find Jacob Webber of Franklin reaching through an office window and shouting at school staff who wouldn’t let him take his daughter home because their records showed a Protection from Abuse Order against him. Webber had documents claiming the PFA was no longer in effect, but the staff did not believe they were real. Webber began shouting and reaching for staff members until a school resource officer restrained him; he is charged with disorderly conduct.
