Arrest Made in Church Burglary
Cooperstown – A South Carolina man has been charged with burglary and other crimes for a break-in at a Venango County Church. The Pennsylvania State Police announced the arrest of 38-year-old Benjamin McDowell of Greenville, South Carolina, on Monday. His arrest is in connection with a burglary at Bradleytown Community Church in Plum Township just two days after Christmas. The case is currently pending court, and there are no public records showing the full list of charges or investigative details.

Harrisburg – In State News, the former director of a youth sports league in Western PA has been charged with multiple crimes for allegedly diverting around $233,000 from the league’s funds into his and his wife’s personal bank accounts. 57-year-old William Spencer was the director of the Western Pennsylvania Youth Football League from 2013 to 2025. According to the office of the Pennsylvania Attorney General, Spencer wrote over 130 checks for the money during the last 5 years of his tenure. He has not been taken into custody, but is charged with theft by unlawful taking, misapplication of entrusted property, and other crimes.
