Weather Advisory Delays Some Schools
NWPA – A Cold Weather Advisory in the region has resulted in multiple school delays this morning. At the time of publishing, the outside temperature is 0 degrees with a windchill bringing it to -6. The weather advisory ends at 10 a.m.  If you must venture outside, wear appropriate winter clothing; frostbite can occur within an hour of exposure to these temperatures, and hypothermia much sooner. Major Crash Kills College Student
Zelienople – A 25-vehicle pile-up killed a Slippery Rock University Student on Friday. Interstate 79 was closed in both directions between Evans City and Zelienople in Butler County while responders worked to clear wreckage and rescue victims.  Seven people were hospitalized after the crash, and one person suffered fatal injuries. 18-year-old Evan Gingo was killed in the crash; Evan hailed from the Pittsburgh area and was a freshman at Slippery Rock University, where he was studying exercise science.
