Fire Destroys Factory
Corry – A major manufacturing plant in Erie County was called a total loss after a massive fire broke out on Wednesday. Hensa Stamping in Corry collapsed as firefighters from two states and three counties battled to contain the fire, which happened early Wednesday evening. Employees inside the building when the fire began were quickly evacuated, and three firefighters suffered minor injuries or smoke inhalation as they tried for several hours to extinguish the flames. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

Man Charged for Deadly Hit-and-Run
Warren – 22-year-old Cyrus Sears was arrested for a fatal hit-and-run crash in the city of Warren on Monday. Police say that at around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, witnesses saw Sears driving a black pickup truck that struck and killed a man who was on a mobility scooter. Sears drove away from the scene with the scooter still trapped beneath his vehicle. The police later found it concealed in the bed of Sears’s truck, hidden beneath a closed tanno cover. He’s been charged with causing a traffic accident involving death, evidence tampering, and multiple other crimes – and he may face more charges. He remains jailed on $150,000 bond.
