Senator Promises Bill Named for Dog
Erie – State Senator Dan Laughlin, representing Erie County, has promised to propose a new law after the death of a severely abused dog that was named Aimee by rescuers. Aimee’s Law would create a registry for individuals convicted of felony animal cruelty and abuse in the State of Pennsylvania. Aimee was a husky puppy found locked in a cage beneath a bridge in Erie; she had been severely neglected, starved, and beaten. Despite thousands of dollars in donations from locals and the best medical treatment from Anna Shelter, Aimee did not survive. Two people have been arrested by the Erie PD in connection with this.
