Thunder in the City by Any Other Name
Meadville – With Oil Heritage out of the way, it’s time for NWPA’s next big summer event, Tool City Summer Fest. Formerly Thunder in the City, Tool City Summer Fest is a nonstop three-day party in downtown Meadville.  The festival begins with the annual Super Cruise at 6 p.m. on Thursday and the burnout competition outside of the courthouse starting at 8.
On Friday, it’s live music, food trucks, street vendors, Magic Steve, and more all evening long starting at 5 p.m. Saturday starts early with the Car and Jeep Show at 8 a.m. and the block party, including the Master of the Mic singing competition and more. Musical acts include Sonic Culture and Rick MGee & The Roadhouse Rockers on Friday; Saturday has Mitch Littler, the RLS Trio, Zach Johnson, Riff Riders, and Necesary Experience.
