Man Injured by Truck in Town
Meadville - Thick fog is believed to have contributed to an accident where a man was struck by a pickup truck in Meadville early Monday morning. Details are scarce, but a 56-year-old man was hit by a pickup truck at the intersection of Chestnut and Liberty Streets at about 5:30 a.m. on Monday. The victim was transported by ambulance to UPMC Hamot in Erie because the fog was too thick for a medevac helicopter. A crash scene reconstructionist from the Pennsylvania State Police is aiding the investigation.

Coroner Accuses DA of Corruption
Washington - In State News, the Washington County Coroner alleges in a sworn affidavit that District Attorney Jason Walsh pressured him to file a death certificate calling the death of a baby a homicide for political gain. Coroner Tim Warco alleges that Walsh pressured him to file homicide as the cause of death after a medical examiner could not determine one in the case of two-month-old Sawyer Clark. He claims it was an election year, and the DA thought he could benefit from charging the baby’s father, Jordan, with the infant’s death. Walsh denies the allegations, he has chosen to claim a political conspiracy and claim the coroner is unfit for office.
