Venango County Fair Opens
Franklin – The seeds of 1776 yield the blooms of 2026 starting tomorrow at the Venango County Fair. From August 1st to 8th, the fair will bring food, fun, family, and friends all together in one place for eight days of merrymaking. This year’s admission price is $8, while weekly passes are $25, and an additional $5 for grandstand events. Tomorrow the fair literally opens with a bang with a 7 p.m. Demo Derby followed by a 9:30 p.m. fireworks display.
Sunday, the Toyota Concert Series features performances by Chris Higbee and Croston Cross. Monday’s highlight is the Keystone Mini Rods; Tuesday evening it’s the High Steel Rodeo, and truck and tractor pulls on Wednesday. This year’s daily features include chainsaw demonstrations, Foam-N-Fun, “Wild World of Animals”, fishing tank, and Whispery Pines Percherons. And of course, food, games, and more at the Venango County Fair, three miles from Franklin on Mercer Road. Visit VenangoFair.com.
