Police Seek Help Solving Crime
Springboro – The Pennsylvania State Police are asking for public assistance in solving a violent crime that happened in Crawford County. On Thursday, June 12th, an unknown suspect was firing a rifle at passing motorists near the intersection of Spring Road and Shadeland Road in Spring Township at approximately 8:40 p.m. Witnesses and victims identified the shooter as the driver of a red or orange small-cab pickup. The shooter was using a rifle with a scope to take potshots at other drivers by the intersection. Erie Bicycle Rodeo in One Week
Erie – PennDOT and Safe Kids of Erie County will be holding a bicycle rodeo for children aged 6-12 next Tuesday, June 24th at East Middle School from 4 to 6 p.m. The rodeo will either be in the school parking lot or the gymnasium in case of adverse weather. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who can sign a permission slip and should bring a bicycle and a helmet with them, but a limited number of cycles will be available for loan. Some helmets will also be provided courtesy of UPMC Hamot. Registration begins one hour before the event, or can be done online by visiting the Bike Rodeo Registration link at PennDOT.gov/District1. Sam’s Club and State Representative Pat Harkins will provide a light meal during the event and every participant will be entered into a drawing to win a brand new bicycle.

Details on Mercer County Shooting
Greenville – More details have been revealed about the Saturday night shooting in Mercer County. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, who took over investigating the crime, it was a failed attempt at murder suicide. At about 11:00 p.m. Saturday night on Brentwood Drive in Pymatuning Township, 47-year-old Lance Dorsey shot another man with a firearm in an attempt to kill them, and then turned the gun on themselves. The victim survived their wound and escaped to a neighbor’s home to seek help, while Dorsey dealt himself a fatal injury.

Warren County Detective Arrested
Warren – The former Chief Detective of Warren County has been charged with multiple felonies for allegedly using his position to earn sexual favors. Thomas Kibby is charged with two third-degree felonies for sexual assault after he resigned from his position, among reports of misconduct filed with the Warren County District Attorney’s Office in March. The investigation and now criminal proceedings have been referred to the Office of Pennsylvania Attorney General, Dave Sunday.
