Police: Woman Hit Pedestrian with Car
Sugarcreek – 44-year-old Brandy Coxson of Franklin has been charged with aggravated assault by vehicle, careless driving, driving while uninsured, and other crimes after she allegedly ran over a pedestrian in Sugarcreek. Sugarcreek Police also say that they are awaiting the results of a blood draw before adding DUI to the list. According to investigators, on the night of Friday, June 13th, Coxson hit a pedestrian with her car on Rocky Grove Avenue and then drove away from the scene.
Brandy Coxson has a history of DUI, assault, disorderly conduct, and summary traffic offenses going back 25 years. At press time, she was in Venango County Jail on $75,000 bail. 

$50,000 Grant to Build City Parklet
Meadville – The Meadville Community Revitalization Corporation and the ARC of Crawford County announced that Meadville is the recipient of $50,000 through T-Mobile’s Hometown Grant Program. The city is one of the 25 selected by the company this year. Funds from the grant will be used to finance a new parklet that will occupy the western portion of the ARC Community Greenspace at the former location of the Park Avenue Cinema. A ceremony will be held at 4:15 p.m. this Friday afternoon at the ARC Greenspace for the award presentation.
