More Charges for DUI Driver who Killed Woman
Sugarcreek – Two new charges were filed against a Venango County man involved in a deadly crash last month. Ian Haux of Pleasantville had two new charges added to his docket: homicide by vehicle and DUI under the influence of a controlled substance. Haux is also charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI and multiple other crimes from his initial docket. He allegedly admitted to being under the influence of methamphetamine on Monday, February 9th, when he ran a red light in Sugarcreek, causing a crash that killed 34-year-old Kassandra Frawley. He will be arraigned at about 8:30 this morning.

Man Arrested for Hit-and-Run
Erie – An arrest was made in relation to a fatal December 2025 hit-and-run. 49-year-old Daryl Terry of Erie has been charged, after Erie police say he struck and killed 66-year-old Richard Gaska and then fled the scene. Investigators say that Terry was driving the wrong way on a one-way section of West 8th Street when he hit Richard, who was on a bicycle. He fled the scene and then hid his vehicle in Millcreek Township rather than take responsibility. Terry was released on an unsecured $20,000 bond after his arraignment.
