Rollover Crash Causes Minor Wounds
Franklin – Only minor injuries were suffered after a rollover crash in Venango County. According to crash scene investigators, Douglas Swanson Junior was wearing his seatbelt on March 14th when he rolled his car in Cranberry Township and suffered only some minor bruises and lacerations. Officers say Swanson admitted to exceeding the speed limit while traveling on Bredinsburg Road around 6:30 p.m. in his SUV, and he lost control while making a left turn. He struck an embankment and rolled his vehicle onto its roof.
Local Hospital Partners with Indiana University – Sharon Regional Health System is about to become a teaching hospital. On Tuesday, Sharon Regional announced a Clinical Training Agreement with Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). IUP is working on accreditation for a future school of osteopathic medicine; medical students spend two years in the classroom and two years immersed in clinical settings to learn diagnostic and therapeutic practices. IUP’s mission aligns with the mission of Sharon Regional as both seek to improve the quality of rural healthcare in Pennsylvania.
