Oil Region Historic Preservation Awards Nominations Open
Oil City – Nominations for the Oil Region Historic Preservation Awards are open to the public. The awards recognize efforts to preserve and rehabilitate historic structures by individuals, groups, and services in the oil region. Nominees can be anywhere in Venango County, Titusville, and Oil Creek Township in Crawford County, and are due by Wednesday, April 1st. AG Files Charges Against Polluting Companies
Rochester – Two companies are charged with unlawfully storing and disposing of toxic waste in Western Pennsylvania. On Wednesday, Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced felony and misdemeanor charges against One Brewery Place Inc. and M. Ultra Investment Group. The charges stem from 2019, when the Department of Environmental Protection was forced to spend more than $2.4 million for cleanup and disposal efforts in the Beaver County town of Rochester for improperly stored hazardous materials.
