Conneaut Lake – Kindergarten registration for the Conneaut School District in Crawford County is only two weeks away. Registration for Conneaut Valley Elementary is on Wednesday, March 18th, and for Conneaut Lake Elementary on Thursday, the 19th. Parents or guardians must be present and provide their child’s official birth certificate, immunization records, proof of residency, and, if necessary, proof of custody. Highway Robbers Plead Out
Harrisburg – A group of men accused of multiple highway robberies in Eastern Pennsylvania all pleaded guilty to multiple crimes before their trial on Monday. According to a press release from Attorney General Dave Sunday, the seven men never used violence or threats to commit their crimes, relying on distraction and subterfuge to steal from truck drivers and travellers at rest stops along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in 2023. John Black, Wendell Compton, Robert Murphy, Darrell Noel, Robert Chandler, Adam Smith and Danny Williams each pleaded guilty to five counts of third-degree felony robbery. They were handed a sentence of time served plus at least three additional months, and a long period of supervised parole.
