Crash Hospitalizes Three
Warren – Three people from out of state were transported to a hospital by ambulance after a two-vehicle collision in Warren County’s Farmington Township. Police say that last Wednesday, a driver from New York improperly entered an intersection on Jackson Run Road and was hit by a driver from Ohio. Both drivers and one passenger in the New York driver’s car were taken from the scene by ambulance, and investigators did not say where they were taken.

Meadville 1825: Stone Church Bicentennial
Meadville – Meadville 1825 presents its next event for this year, celebrating the bicentennial of Stone United Methodist Church this weekend. Stone Methodist was one of three churches commissioned on Meadville’s Diamond in 1825. On Saturday at 1:30, there will be a presentation of the church’s history with live music, proceeded by light refreshments and a tour of the church. Shenango Valley Campus on Chopping Block
Sharon – After review, Penn State University officials have recommended the closure of seven of the university’s satellite campuses, including the Shenango Valley campus in Mercer County. Penn State Shenango was recommended for closure, along with satellites in DuBois, Fayette, Mont Alto, New Kensington, and York. No closures have been finalized yet; the board of trustees must make a decision about each of those campuses.

Lawyer Steals Hundred of Thousands of Dollars
Johnstown – A Cambria County Attorney has been arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking, misappropriation of funds, and other crimes after investigators say she stole more than $300,000 from the BAR association. In a case being prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office, Robin Hagins of Johnstown is accused of stealing $314,000 from the Cambria County BAR association while she served as its Executive Director from 2018 to 2023. Some of the expenses she allegedly spent the association’s funds on were cosmetic surgeries and vacations.
