Youth Soccer League Registration Open
Meadville – Registration for the Crawford County Youth Soccer Association, CCYSA, is open until June 10th. CCYSA is a co-ed league, accepting all children from ages 4 to 17 years of age, and does not have a residency requirement, meaning families from surrounding areas can also join in the fun. Registration is $75 per player, but there are discounts for registering multiple children, and scholarships are available thanks to the league’s sponsors. Children will require shin guards to play, but if you can’t afford them, you may be able to borrow a donated pair for the games.
Crawford County Youth Soccer is a registered non-profit and also looking for corporate and individual sponsors willing to provide financial support and volunteers to help with everything from coaching to maintaining the lines on their fields. Oil Region Historic Preservation Awards Tonight
Oil City – May is National Historic Preservation Month, and every year, the Oil Region Alliance celebrates by presenting the Oil Region Historic Preservation Awards, which will be held tonight at 6 p.m. in the Rhoades Center on West First Street in Oil City. This event is free and open to the public and honors six individuals and organizations for their commitment and contributions to maintaining the Oil Region’s history through education and restoration.
