The Crawford County Historical Society is still accepting registrations for Camp 1776. Camp 1776 is a day camp for students ages 8-12 who have a love for history and adventure. Events include museum tours, butter churning, a community history walking tour, and more. Camp 1776 will run from 9 a.m. to noon from Monday, June 8th, to Friday, June 12th, and registration is $108.55 per student, and refunds are possible until June 1st. On Friday, Meadville’s Fire Department was honored by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Pennsylvania Emergency Services Council as Small Division EMS Agency of the year for 2026. The award recognizes the Meadville Fire Department’s EMS Agency for excellent performance and standards that set them above their peers across the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. McCandless-Franklin Park Ambulance Authority received the 2026 Large Agency Award.
