Meadville – Chaos unfolded at Burger King in Meadville after a car crashed into the building during lunch. A white Honda CR-V crashed into the Burger King restaurant at the intersection of Park Avenue and North Main Street at lunchtime on Thursday. The vehicle penetrated into the restaurant and threw debris around the busy dining room. So far, only one person was reportedly hospitalized with injuries to their upper torso and an arm; it’s unclear from the information gathered whether she was in the vehicle or one of the customers in the restaurant. This is still a developing story with many details to sort out.
Fetterman Hospitalized After Fall
Braddock – Pennsylvania’s United States Senator John Fetterman remains hospitalized in Pittsburgh after a fall on Thursday morning. According to a press release from his office, Senator Fetterman was out for a walk near his home in Braddock when he had an episode of ventricular fibrillation, a tremor in the heart, that made him dizzy and fall. He reportedly suffered only minor injuries to his face, but remained hospitalized to fine-tune his current treatment regimen for V-fib.
Three Car Crash Results in No Injuries
Cambridge Springs – Crash scene investigators report that there were no injuries caused by a three-car pileup outside of Cambridge Springs on Monday. A report from the Pennsylvania State Police says 19-year-old Cora Harris of Waterford was charged with following another vehicle too closely on a slush and snow-covered Route 86 at about 6:15 p.m. Monday evening. When another motorist tried to reduce their speed to avoid sliding, Harris swerved into the opposing lane to avoid a collision and instead hit a third vehicle head-on, and still made contact with the vehicle ahead of her.
PSP Mercer Toy Drive
Mercer – The Pennsylvania State Police in Mercer begin their annual toy drive benefitting the Children’s Aid Society of Mercer today. A donation box will be made available in the lobby of the PSP Mercer barracks at 139 Steingrabe Road in Mercer until December 17th.
