Car Falls Into Ravine, No Injuries
Sugarcreek – A Franklin man escaped injury after his vehicle plunged 20 feet straight down into a ravine about two weeks ago. On Saturday, November 8th, 22-year-old Josh Jolley was travelling on Meadville Pike in Venango County when he lost control of his vehicle while taking a left turn near Sugarcreek. He left the road, and his car fell into a wooded ravine, but he suffered no injuries. Crash scene investigators say Jolley was driving too fast for the road conditions.
AG Announced New Section of Office
Harrisburg – Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday has announced that his office has added a new section dedicated to investigating financial fraud and exploitation of Elder Pennsylvanians. The Elder Exploitation Section was introduced on Tuesday; it will primarily focus on cases of theft from and financial exploitation of senior citizens by their families and caregivers. The new section was created by moving existing staff with experience in elder law from other departments. The Elder Exploitation Section is already investigating 30 cases.
