Cold Case Solved in NWPA
Saegertown – A nearly 45-year-old cold case from Crawford County may have been solved. Lonene ‘Lonnie’ Rogers went missing from her home in Hayfield Township on the night of January 6th, 1981. Her husband, Clinton, reported her missing the next day, and discrepancies appeared very early in the investigation but led to no conclusions. 44 years, 10 months, and 19 days later, the Pennsylvania State Police reported that the now 76-year-old Clinton Rogers has confessed to the murder of Lonene. On Thanksgiving Day, it was announced that Rogers is currently being held in Indiana County Jail.

Winter Storm Disrupts Travel Thanksgiving Weekend
NWPA – It’s Black Friday today, and across Northwest PA, road conditions remain less than ideal after a lake effect snowstorm made its presence felt on the region, but conditions are slowly improving in some parts of NWPA. At the time of this reporting, Interstates 86 and 90 in Erie County are no longer under Tier 1 restrictions, and speed limits have been restored to normal. Speed limits are also no longer reduced to 45 on Interstate 79. New restrictions have been issued in Mercer and Venango Counties; at press time, speed limits have been reduced to 45 miles per hour on Interstate 80 from the PA/OH border until Exit 29 (Barkeyville). FCVRH Christmas Train Show
Meadville – The French Creek Valley Railroad Historical Society begins its annual Christmas Train Show and Sales this weekend. The event opens today from 1 to 4 p.m. and will repeat every Saturday and Sunday through December 20th at the same hours. Check out the museum on Bessemmer Street to view their displays and purchase train and railway-related holiday gifts. Santa Claus will be visiting the Railroad Museum during show hours on Saturday, December 6th.
