Teen Avoids Injury When Rolling Truck
Teepleville – A teenage driver avoided injury when he rolled his truck after a collision with a deer. The 17-year-old driver, whose name has not been released by investigators, rolled his vehicle an unknown number of times after losing control of the truck while trying to avoid hitting two deer that dashed out in front of him around 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. The crash happened on White Hill Road in Richland Township, not far from Teepleville. While the driver was uninjured and not transported from the scene, his truck suffered severe damage and was disabled.

Child Brings Knife to Class
Hadley – The Pennsylvania State Police in Mercer County reported that an 11-year-old Student at Commodore Perry Elementary School has been charged with possessing a weapon on school property. Because of the child’s age, police have not released her name, but she is a 6th-grade student who was found to be carrying a steak knife on school grounds last Wednesday. The Pennsylvania State Police released a report about the incident on Friday. Nobody was hurt or threatened by the student who possessed the knife, and no official statement has been offered by anyone from the Commodore Perry School District.
