Driver Hits Two Trees off I-79
Geneva – No injuries were reported after a car crashed into two trees while attempting to exit I-79 in Crawford County. Crash scene investigators cited John Fortsch of Cranesville for excessive speed after he and his passenger escaped serious injury during a crash on Friday night. Investigators say that 19-year-old Fortsch was attempting to leave the interstate on Exit 141 near Geneva when he failed to stay on the exit ramp and crashed into two trees, uprooting one that got stuck beneath the car and causing it to stop. Neither Fortsch nor the 19-year-old woman who was his passenger reported any injuries after the crash.

CCFS Donation Drives
Meadville – Crawford County’s Center for Family Services is in strong need of donations of nonperishable food products, cold-weather comfort items, and toiletries to help local families this coming winter. Boy Scouts of America Troop 209 will be outside of Valeksy’s market tonight from 6:00 to 7:30, collecting donations for CCFS, and other events and partnerships are also planned.
