Stabber Arrested in Erie
Erie – A man is in custody after a stabbing in Erie’s Perry Square on Wednesday morning. A man named Clyde Hopkins was taken into custody and charged with attempted homicide after he allegedly stabbed an unidentified victim in the neck and upper body several times at about 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. Hopkins fled from the scene after the stabbing, but was found and captured by police soon. The victim was taken to UPMC Hamot with life-threatening injuries, and no updates have been offered about their condition.
Quilt-A-Thon
Franklin – The Friends of Franklin Public Library is hosting their 30th annual Quilt-a-Thon this Friday and Saturday during the library’s regular business hours. The library’s hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. During Quilt-A-Thon, there will be hands-on demonstrations of the art of quilting that anyone of any skill level can take part in. Two unique quilts created specifically for the event will be on display at the library and can be won in a drawing, sponsorship of which benefits the library. A small consignment store of quilting supplies will also be set up, and 10% of the proceeds will also benefit the library.
