Police Meet Dead-End in Shooting Investigation
Meadville – The Pennsylvania State Police closed an investigation into a shooting in Crawford County after the victim refused to cooperate with troopers on Monday morning. In a Public Information Release issued Monday, PSP Meadville reported that at about 1:17 a.m. Monday morning, Troopers attempted to speak with a woman who had been shot in the leg, but she refused to provide information. Investigators did try to follow up on what little information they could get, but discovered no leads. The investigation is closed unless new information develops.
PA Man Arrested in Ohio When Explosives Found
A Mercer County, PA, man is in Trumbull County Jail in OH with $100,000 bail for charges of possessing dangerous ordinance and carrying concealed weapons. John Podleyon was arrested at the Eastwood Mall last Thursday when police found black powder and weapons in his car during a traffic stop. Podleyon, who works at the Mercer County Jail, waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Monday morning. He maintained through his arrest and arraignment that he was not doing anything nefarious. He said to police officers that the black powder he carried was for a cannon.
