Man Dies After Crash with Police Officer
Erie – A man injured earlier this month in a crash involving a police cruiser in Erie died over the weekend. After more than two weeks in intensive care, the man, whose identity has been protected, died at UPMC Hamot, according to Deputy Coroner John Maloney.  On September 12th, the man’s vehicle was struck by a city police cruiser as the officer driving ran through a red light on the way to respond to a call; a pedestrian was also struck by one of the vehicles. The officer has been moved to an administrative assignment, and the Pennsylvania State Police and Erie County DA are investigating.

False Alarm at Grove City College
Grove City – Buhl Library on the campus of Grove City College was evacuated yesterday, and students were told to shelter in place after someone reported gunshots on the campus. In what’s now believed to have been a SWATting incident, local and state police responded to a call about gunshots outside of the Buhl Library Sunday afternoon. After finding no evidence, the call was ended. Classes at Grove City College will proceed as normal today.
