Guest Punches Bride at Wedding
Butler – Police in Butler County say that a Mercer County man was arrested after punching the bride at a wedding. John Cianci of Sharpsville has been charged with multiple counts of simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct, as well as one count of public intoxication. During an August 29th wedding at Eisler Farms, the 26-year-old became enraged after he was cut off by the bartender for drinking too much. According to a criminal complaint, he allegedly attacked the bride at the wedding, hitting her with a roundhouse punch, and also attacked three other people who tried to subdue him.
Missing Child Murdered by Guardians
Dunbar, PA – In State News, a Fayette County woman was charged with homicide in the death of the nine-year-old adopted child. Kourtney Eutsey is charged with homicide and seven other crimes after the Wednesday search for Renesmay Eutsey ended in the discovery of her remains in the Youghiogheny River. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, other children in the household described how Kourtney and her partner, Sarah Shipley, put Renesmay’s body into a garbage bag and a tote that were later found in the river.
On Friday, Sarah Shipley, Renesemay’s legal custodial guardian, was also charged with criminal homicide and other crimes in the girl’s death. Shipley was given legal guardianship of Renesmay after the girl’s mother became addicted to drugs and signed over custody while she sought treatment for addiction. Shipley herself was hospitalized after overdosing on an undisclosed substance late on Thursday night, before she was charged with any crimes, in what may have been an attempt at suicide.
DUI Driver Hits Road Worker
Grove City – A Slippery Rock man is charged with aggravated assault with a vehicle, DUI, and more, after hitting a roadside worker on Friday morning. Tristan Galarza is being held on $100,000 dollars bond in Mercer County Jail; police say he was under the influence of a controlled substance when he veered off the right side of North Liberty Road in Liberty Township and hit a man working on a culvert. The victim suffered several broken ribs, a shattered leg, and multiple head injuries and was airlifted to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown.
Fatal Crash in Erie County
Platea – A 73-year-old man was killed when he crashed on Interstate 90 in Erie County on Saturday. Harry Anderson of Brecksville PA, was traveling west on I-90 when he lost control of his vehicle for an unknown reason and veered into the median. His car rolled, went airborne, and landed on another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Police say Anderson was properly wearing a seatbelt when he crashed, but he was declared dead at the scene, with a cause of death being listed as multiple blunt force trauma. The driver from the other vehicle, a New York Woman, suffered only minor injuries.
Man Survived Drive into Creek
Cambridge Springs – Police finally released the details of an August 8th crash in Crawford County, where a man’s truck was submerged in French Creek. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, at about 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8th, 60-year-old Larry Kirk of Cambridge Springs fell asleep behind the wheel of his GMC Canyon on McClellan Street. He hit a guide rail, and his truck went up and over, falling 15 feet and into French Creek. Mr. Kirk was able to escape through the passenger side without significant injuries, but has been charged with careless driving.
