Fatal I-80 Crash
Grove City – The entire eastbound lane of Interstate 80 between Interstate 79 and Exit 24 was closed from approximately 12:30 to 7:30 after a multi vehicle collision killed an 80-year-old man and injured several more people. In Pine Township, Mercer County, a vehicle only identified as a jeep was trapped between a pickup and the trailer of a semi after being hit on the rear end in the passing lane. All four of the vehicle’s Occupants, Laura and John Lesher, and two children, were wearing seatbelts but suffered injuries in the crash. John Lesher was rendered unconscious and died at the scene as he was being extracted from the wreck, the other passengers were transported by ambulance or helicopter to various hospitals.

PennDOT Work Schedules
Oil City – PennDOT’s work schedule for this week includes water proofing and minor repairs on six bridges across Crawford County. The project will include a Route 6 – Bridge over French Creek in Borough of Cambridge Springs: Miller Station Road (Route 1016) – Bridge over French Creek in Rockdale Township; Grant Street (Route 1025) – Bridge over French Creek in Borough of Cambridge Springs; New Richmond Road (Route 1033) – Bridge over Mackey Run in Richmond Township; Mackey Hill Road (Route 1035) – Bridge over Kelly Run in Rockdale Township; Townhall Road (Route 2005) – Bridge over French Creek in East Fairfield Township; Wilson Chutes Road (Route 2008) – Bridge over French Creek in West Mead Township; and Church Road (Route 3005) – Bridge over Bennett Run in North Shenango Township.
