Man Killed when UTV Rolls
Greenville –Mercer County authorities determined that careless driving was the cause of a fatal UTV accident in West Salem Township. A 64-year-old man was killed when he lost control of the vehicle on the gravel surface of South Barry Road at about 8:15 last Tuesday night. Investigators say that the vehicle went airborne after skidding on the road and into an embankment and then rolled multiple times. The driver was wearing no restraints or safety gear and was killed at the scene.
PennDOT Work Schedules
Oil City – PennDOT’s work schedule for the week of September 11th includes the fourth stage of construction for the Market Street Roundabout in Warren by Thursday. In the fourth phase roadway paving will be complete and crews will focus on the work of finishing painting, lighting, and landscaping of the roundabout and flaggers may still be employed to control the flow of traffic during the process.
